Grungy Sketch Card For You

Good Saturday Morning Peeps! Today's card was made for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. This weeks sketch was from Lori Craig she is a fellow Missourian. I just love her blog and she has a wonderful style.

My card certainly didn't turn out like I had imagined when I started. I like the main image panel and I made it similar to this card I made last year when a tutorial was posted on splitcoast on the grid technique.

But after getting that part done the rest of my card I had so much trouble pulling together. I am still not sure it all "gels" but....it is what it is! LOL!

I did use my new edge punch I got at Michael's, the are really neat, by EK Success, they fold flat.

I knew I wanted to use the wide chocolate satin ribbon and I had intended to mount my sentiment circle in the center of the bow, but that was not to be, it would not work at all!!! I wasted so much of my ribbon trying to make a pretty bow and knot and so on......but I got really frustrated and that was probably why I had so much trouble getting the card to come together, or maybe not, could be just one of those things, I have been having some "mojo" issues lately!!!

It is a bit "grungy" and not my usual style. I first started by scoring my whisper white cardstock at 1/2" intervals with my scor-pal. I then used my aida cloth BG stamp inked with creamy caramel and lightly stamped it onto the scored piece, then used the french script BG inked with close to cocoa and stamped that lightly again over the aida BG. I then used the SU set "Inspired by Nature" inked up with some colorbox chalk inks and stamped that a few times over it all. I sponged the edges with close to cocoa and then chocolate chip. I cut the piece in two parts, one slightly bigger than the other. mounted it onto summer sun and then onto chocolate chip. I added some brads in the top corners and pierced around the edge on the white.

Oh well, that it is all I have for today and thank you so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!

My Tangerine Thank You

TGIF Peeps! Hope your day goes fast and your weekend is fun!

Today's card is another "flower Card". Do I make any other kind? I have to say I LOVE the Bella Blossom set from SU. It is on the dormant list but I just love it.

I really like the bright colors in this one, tangerine tango and kiwi kiss, don't they look nice?

I started by inking up my stamp with some tangerine ink, just the top, taking care to try and avoid getting ink on the stem and leaves. I then used the kiwi ink pad to ink up the bottom part. I then stamped it onto some PTI white card stock. I then stamped the bloom two more times on some scrap white, cut them out and layered it up onto the flower with dimensionals. I used my glue pen and some diamond dust to add some sparkle to the center of the bloom. I sit that aside and went onto the rest of the card.

I used tangerine for the base and followed that with some kiwi cardstock, followed by some "Haiku" DS paper, retired. I edge punched some white with the lace edge punch and added it, Barely noticeable behind the large flower.

I used some kiwi kiss satin ribbon, wrapped it around and used my 1/4" circle punch to bring it up through the flower panel and tied a bow. I then stamped the sentiment onto some more scrap with tangerine and punched it out with the word window punch. I then cut a piece of tangerine just slightly larger than the sentiment and used my corner rounder punch to make a mat for the sentiment. I added a kiwi button to the edge and mounted that onto the flower panel with more dimensionals.

Finally I added four white brads in the upper left corner and mounted it to the base card.

As a little thank you to my blog readers, I am going to give away this card, and a couple of other fun goodies, to one of you. Just leave me a comment on this post and I will draw a winner on Monday.

That's all I have for you today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

A Little Something

Happy Thursday Ya'all!!! Hope your week has gone smoothly. We are on the down hill slide to the weekend!

Today's card is made with one of my favorite new sets from SU, "Petal Pizazz" and teamed up with a fun little set from SAB "Yummy"!!

I started with a base of Pumpkin Pie cardstock, another scrap, cut at 6-1/2 by 4-1/4. I then scored the 6-1/2 inch piece at 1 inch. I then used a piece of riding hood red that was 4-1/4 by 5-1/4 inches and attached them by sliding the RHR piece under the Orange and gluing. I then scored the red piece with my scor-pal at the edge of the pumpkin pie piece. I then attached my ribbon and stuck it together with some score tape. So in other words this card opens at the edge of the pumpkin pie piece, that wraps around from the back. I know I am not explaining this well, but I think you know what I mean huh?

I used some DS paper from the Washington Apple pack and adhered that to the front. The sentiment and green swirl are from the SAB set called "Yummy" It is a large stamp the block itself measures 4-1/2 inches and the stamp is about 4 inches total. I only used half of it. I masked off the sentiment and part of the swirl with post it notes and inked it up in old olive and stamped it onto my white piece. I then used more post it notes to mask off all but the sentiment and then used my stamp-a-ma-jig to center the sentiment where I wanted it. It is stamped with black stazon.

I then made my flower with the Petal Pizazz set. Stamped the flowers with riding hood red ink and pumpkin pie ink. Cut the out an layered them up with some dimensionals. The center is a brad from the Build a Brad and a RHR center is added to the middle. Old olive leaves are stamped, cut out and put in around the flower as well.

I added a brad at the corner of the sentiment panel and some of my "fave" piercing in the other corner.

I was thinking I might possibly make this into a gift card holder.

So that's it for today, I am so happy you stopped by today and love to read the comments you leave. HAPPY STAMPING!!

So Glad We're Friends

Happy Hump Day Peeps!

Today's card is made from scraps!!! Not one piece of cardstock was harmed in the making of this card.

When I sit down at my desk to make something, I had no clue what I wanted to do, I had no sketch printed out to use, no inspiration at all was forth coming, so I started to clean up a bit and came across the pieces, of this card. The main image was already stamped. the DS paper already adhered onto the white and both items was tucked inside a already cut and folded piece of cardstock. So I said to myself, Let's finish this.

Over the weekend I had organized my mounting pile, and I mean huge pile of scraps, by sorting each color into a manila folder size envelope and labeled them by name and color family. So I dug out the chocolate chip and summer sun envelopes and pulled out a couple of pieces of scraps. My first thought was to use some summer sun behind the flower panel but after holding them together I quickly tossed that idea. I trimmed the flowers a bit and added a piece of chocolate chip cardstock behind it. I then dug into my white envelope and pulled out some whisper white scraps and edge punched one side and layered it onto the flower panel. I then mounted that onto the DS paper piece with some dimensionals.

All the time I was putting that together I was thinking about the cool tag Dawn Easton had used on this card I had seen on her blog last week.

So I pulled out the SU sentiment set "Best Yet" now retired, and stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of white with some chalk ink. I then used my key tag punch to punch it out. I cut the ends and then cut a slightly larger piece of chocolate chip to layer it onto. I used the corner rounder punch on one end and cut the other end like the white tag. I added a silver brad and mounted the tag onto the card with some more dimensionals.

I then used a silver clip and some chocolate chip twill ribbon and some summer sun grosgrain ribbon on the corner. Added two more silver brads in opposite corners and mounted the whole she-bang to the already made chocolate chip card base! Viola-it's done and all with scraps, gotta love that!!!!

I really love this SU set "Inspired by Nature", it is on the dormant list, sure hope it doesn't retire in July!!!

Well, that's all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Three Little Words.....

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!

Today's card is done with the Sweet Sunday Sketch on Karen Giron's Blog The Sweetest Thing. I really loved the sketch when I saw it. Not sure my card does it justice. I used my new set from SU called "Three Little Words". I loved the set when I first saw it in the new cattie, I still love it just not so much love going on for his card. I am not sure this set can stand on it's own. It is very nice, I love the font on the "Three"..kinda reminds me of a fairy tale.

I started my card with a base of what is probably my favorite color, chocolate chip, and followed that with a piece of whisper white and then I used two colors of print patterns DS paper, real red and chocolate chip. After adhering them to the white piece I ran them through my cuttlebug with the swirl embossing folder.

I stamped the sentiment twice, once in chocolate chip and in real red. Cut out the "T" in red and mounted it on with dimensionals. The flower is done in red and old olive. The flower is also stamped twice and then mounted with dimensionals. I added some ribbon and three brads in opposite corners.

So there it is, not my best work at all, but I was really un-inspired with this one. :(

So that's all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

2 Crazy Quilts

Good Monday Morning Peeps! Hope you all had a great weekend filled with all the things you love the most, family, friends and stamping! I sure did, we had a great time at my demo's house on Saturday! Hey girls!!!!

I have two cards to show you today, both done with my new set, "Quilt Quips"! I really love it!

The first card is done with Jen's Sketch for You to Try.

My card is a 5" square of baja breeze. I also used the new specialty paper "Sweet Slumber" It is so cool! Love the colors in it. I first stamped my quilt squares on some 140 lb weight watercolor paper and colored them in with the colors from the paper, ruby red, so saffron, baja and Sahara sand. I also stamped my sentiment on watercolor paper and cut out the oval with my coluzzle. the Scallop oval is cut with nesties. I also drug out the sewing machine for a little zig-zag on my card. The brads I had in my stash for ever and they match perfectly.

This next one is my favorite of the two:

I have been planning this layout in my head every since I ordered this set. It is fairly plain and simply but reminds me of a quilt I have of my grandmothers.

The quilt squares are again all done with watercolor paper and pierced alot. The base is Ruby red card stock and I followed that with a piece of watercolor paper and then another piece of ruby I scored with my score pal all around the squares. The card measures 4-1/2 by 5 inches. I marked out my design on the side pieces with a pencil and then used the piercing tool and mat pack to poke the holes and then erased all pencil lines. I used black brads in the center of the "quilted" pieces. I hope you like my quilts I made to show you today.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Saturday Thanks!

Good Saturday Morning Peeps! It's the weekend, whatcha doing fun? Tonight I am heading to my favorite demo's house for some stamping fun along with some good eats and good friends! Should be a great evening!

Today's card is made with Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. I am working again with the copic markers, I really like them but it is a bit challenging, still alot I need to learn and alot of colors I need. I did get some greys, so I could color my bucket grey instead of the blue I used the last time.

I love kraft cardstock and I really don't use it all that much. I like how it pairs with other colors. I used it here with some real red DS paper, to match my apples. The sentiment on here is from the SU set "Short and Sweet", I think. The stamp reads "Thanks for making me smile", but i masked off the bottom and just stamped the "Thanks". I used the new edge punch at the bottom of the image panel. I added a brad at each corner. The photo corner and the pierced strip on the side is all of the decoration for this card. It will be a great one for mailing, not alot of bulk besides the brads, unusual for me, my cards are generally way to heavy!

This next card was also made with some kraft cardstock.

I used some scraps I had of the retired "haiku" DS paper. The tree from "Season of Friendship" was stamped with chocolate chip craft ink and after it dried a bit cut out with my circle nestie. I also cut a scallop nestie to back it with tangerine cardstock. I stamped the leaves with kiwi and then punched out a few flowers with the three for you flower punch, added a small sticky pearl to the center and added them to the tree with some pop-dots. The sentiment is from "Birthday Whimsy" and is punched out with the word window punch. I added another pearl to it and mounted it with dimensionals. The tangerine ribbon goes all the way around the card and tied in a "knot" at the front. The circle tree panel is then mounted to the card with some more dimensionals.

Well, that is it for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!

Congratulations

TGIF Peeps! Hope you all have a fabulous Friday!

Today's card is one I made with the SU SAB set called "Congrats" and also the SAB set Botanical Blooms. The sentiment and flowers where stamped onto some shimmer white cardstock and then matted with rose red.

The base of the card is also rose red followed by shimmer white and then bravo burgundy. I ran the burgundy through the cuttlebug with my swiss dot embossing folder. I also added a strip of white shimmer that I had edge punched with the new SU punch, followed that by a small strip of rose red that I had pierced. I added three sticky pearls in the bottom corner.

I am going to use this card for a 25th Anniversary party that I am going to tonight. The inside says..."on another year of happiness together".

That's all I have for you today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

You Crack Me Up

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!

Today's project is a double challenge from splitcoast. On Monday the
Technique Lovers Challenge was this fun little Round top Box. You can find a link to the PDF file in the challenge thread linked above. Today's Ways to Use it Challenge was to use stripes in your card or project.

I used the striped paper from SAB on my box and the cute little cracked chick is from the SU set "A Good Egg". He is so cute and I paper pieced him with more SAB paper and so saffron cardstock. The box is made from so saffron and couldn't be easier, you just print it out right onto your card stock and cut out and fold up. Easy Peasy. I used my circle and scallop nesties for the top piece. The bottom was simple as well, I attached the striped paper before folding up my box. Punched out a scallop strip and put it around. Added some ribbon and used the word window punch and the three for you flower punch to decorate the sentiment and front.

Don't forget if you are interested in my paper share I have some spots still open, just shoot me an e-mail, link in my sidebar, and let me know.

That's all I have for you today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Buzzin' By

Happy Hump Day Peeps!

Don't you just love this set from SU, "Just buzzin' By". I know I do, those bees are so cute, just wish they had the sentiment, "Your the bees knees". LOL!

I originally started this card with the intentions of using Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, for my layout. I did use it but I also strayed a bit, by adding my bees in circles and moving the three embellishments to the top.....so does it still qualify?

I colored the bee hive and the bees with my aqua painter and the SU markers, I stamped the images on watercolor paper with black stazon.

The bees wings are so cute, can't really tell from the picture but i lightly colored them with some bashful blue and then used my quickie glue pen to add some diamond dust to them. The sparkle so IRL!!!

The ribbon and DS paper are from SAB and I used my SU edge punch and some black brads. I cut out one of the bees and mounted it at the bottom by my sentiment. Those bees are kinda a booger to cut out so don't look to close! :)

I used the slit punch to add my side element from the sketch with some ribbon and twine.

Well, that is all for today, Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!

A Sweet Mother's Day and Sweet Thank You

Hello Peeps! It's Tuesday and it is chilly today, suppose to be getting warmer later today, but now it is just dreary and overcast.

Today I have two fun cards to share. They are both made with the same sketch. The Sweet Sunday Sketch on Karen Giron's Blog. It is a fun sketch, love the back ground angle.

The first one is another Mother's Day card is all SU. It is a 5" square, I started with a base of rose red followed by pretty in pink and then cameo coral and then some of the yummy Raspberry Tart DS paper. The flower is from the SU set Petal Pizazz and is stamped in rose red and pretty in pink and layered up with lots of dimensionals. The center is a silver filigree with a pretty in pink brad in the center. The leaves are stamped with kiwi kiss and cut out and mounted under the flower petals. The sentiment is from the SU set "All Holidays" I used the new edge punch as well. Lots of piercing and three pink brads at the top.

The next one with the same sketch was inspired by this cute little project.

I loved her red polka dot flower made with the scallop punch, so I had to give it a try. I sooooo wish I had a pretty black button like the one used by Connie, but I didn't and I was in a hurry to get this one done, so I just used a white one. Except for that button this would be another SUO card. The flower consist of three scallops that are cut in towards the center and "fluffed up".

Here is a close-up of the flower:

I used dimensionals between each scallop. The leaves are made with the small oval punch and ran through the crimper and creased in the middle. This card is only a 4-1/4 inch square.

Well. that's all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Live Your Dream Sketch

Good Monday Morning Peeps! Hope you all had a great weekend and a fabulous Valentine's day!

Today's card is made for Jen's Sketch for You to Try.

For my card I pulled out an oldie but goodie stamp set, SU's "Live Your Dream."
I love the flowers in that set, of course, ya'll know I love flower stamps, I am making a mental note to try and pull myself away from them, I need to stretch my creative wings and try some other kind of stamps! :)

I used the SU Raspberry Tart DS paper for my color pallet. When I was putting this one together I had thought I would use three white brads on the top panel. When I went to pull them out I found I only had two left. So what to do? I decide to use the two and add a silver ribbon slide with a knot as my third accent. I also had originally wanted to put the bottom strip across the top of my flower panel with a sentiment from "Stem Sayings" but it just didn't look right at all. So I changed it up to put my strip behind the flower which I had run through the cuttlebug with a small zig-zag embossing folder and added the sentiment, which is from the SU set "All Holidays", stamped in black and punched out with the small oval punch and layered with another piece punched with the large oval punch. I added some sticky pearls to the sentiment piece and to the flower centers.

Well, that is it for today, looking forward to my new stamps arriving, are the here yet Lois? Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Divine Design Challenge

Happy Valentine's Day Peeps! Hope you all had a great week and are having a even greater day. Remember to HUG your loved ones!

Today's card is one I made for the Divine Design Bible Verse Challenge 09 on splitcoast. I first read about it here on Lori Craig's blog "Make a Difference". I really loved the card she made with the SU "Branch Out" set and the verse on her card really makes you think.

I wanted to try to make a card with one of my favorite Bible verse's. Years ago when I was young and was learning to do counted cross stitch, I made a piece with this verse and as I recall it had a bucket of apples with it, I am going to look for that cross stitch piece, I think I might still have it somewhere. But anyway I thought what a perfect way to make my card and use my bucket of apples I had showed you last week that I had colored with my copics.

I started out by printing the verse onto my cardstock with my printer. I then stamped the bucket of apples, from the now retired SU set "Give Thanks." I colored in portions of the image with my copics and then took the one I had already colored and cut it out and mounted it over the first one with some dimensionals.

I added some kiwi kiss green to the bottom with my aquapainter, very lightly. and added three aged cooper brads under the sentiment. I then mounted that piece onto a piece of real red card stock. My bucket matches pacific point very well, so I used that as my base. I ran the front of the base through the cuttle bug with an embossing folder. I then mounted the main panel onto the base with more dimensionals and added a spiral clip and two pieces of red gingham ribbon.

Well, that is all for today, Hope you all have a great weekend and Valentine Day. Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Stamping!

CAS and Kindness

TGIF Peeps!!! Hope you all had a great week and are ready for some weekend fun!!!

Today's card is a fun little one, I have seen this done alot around and don't know who originated the idea.

The vases are made with the large oval punch with both ends trimmed off. I used the in colors for the vases, tangerine, kiwi, baja and riding hood red. The edges of the ovals are swiped with the same color of ink as the card stock on one side and a bit of whisper white craft on the other. The sentiment on this card is from the SU "Heard from the Heart" set and is stamped onto PTI white with black stazon. I used my aqua painter and some kiwi ink squished into the lid of the pad to put in some ground/grass area under the vases. The flowers are from the Three for you flower punch and have a white brad in the middle and are up on a pop dot. I added the stem with my black marker.

The whole piece is layered onto another piece of RHR card stock and then onto the card base that is also PTI white. Another simple quick card.

I am so enjoying these type lately, Thanks Lois for making me stretch a bit and make you some CAS samples! I have another one to show you in this style:

This one might be my fave of the ones I have made so far.

This one starts with a white card base, followed by a piece of rose red card stock, that I ran through the cuttlebug with the swiss dot folder. I then used the "Eastern Bloom" stamp set to stamp the three flowers, in coral, kiwi and rose red. The sentiment is from the SU set "Absolutely Fabulous". Three white brads and it is done.

Well That is all for today, I have a couple of more CAS cards to show you tomorrow, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!

With Love Valentines

Good Morning Peeps!

Today I have a fun little Valentine set to share with you. I made some quick and easy 3 x 3 cards, matching envelopes and a open box for some candy SweetHearts!

The cards are made with some PaperTrey white cardstock, have you tried this paper? It is awesome! I used some DS Paper from the SU Candy Lane pack and a little bit of Bella DS paper. I used my MS Valentine Lace edge punch and my SU scallop edge punch.

The sentiment on the cards is from the SAB set "Yummy", I stamped it in black and then used the three heart punch and punched out a small heart out of some of the DS paper and glued it over the stamped heart.

The cards with the rows of hearts are made with the three heart punch and the DS paper. some are glued flat and some on dimensionals. I used more of the DS paper to cover the flap on the envelopes and added a matching punched heart to the front.

The box to hold the box of SweetHearts is just a simple wrap around and cut at the corners and folded in to make the bottom. Then another piece of DS paper was used to wrap the white box, I punched one edge with the MS Valentine punch.

Here is a close-up of the cards:

Hope you enjoy this little Valentines.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Wonderful Friend

Good Morning Peeps!

Today's card is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge.

I almost didn't do this one, I am not good with circle cards, but decide I needed to try.

I again used the SU set "Wonderful Favorites" I love this set and it has such pretty font.

I started by deciding to use some retired paper that I have barely used, Maine Blueberry. I choose the pretty striped piece for my color pallet. The base is Not quite Navy and made with my largest Scallop Nestie. Then I cut the circle with the large circle nestie out of the DS paper. The sentiment panel is made with old olive, not quite navy and papertrey white. I added a strip of old olive DS paper from the same pack across the bottom and then added two rows of piercing. The "friend" is stamped in NQN on white cut out and matted with some more NQN and added at a slight angle.

I added a star with a brad in the center in the corner and three brads across the bottom. Then I added some old olive 5/8" grosgrain ribbon at the top. I used my crop-a-dial to put two holes into the card to thread the ribbon through. To make the center "puff" a little cotton from a cotton ball is stuffed behind the ribbon.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Sweet Sketch

Hi Peeps!

Today's card is for Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday sketch.

I had a friend ask me the other day about my cards and how I decide what set to use. I really love sketch challenges and so I do alot of those, and when I print out a sketch I look at it and try and decide what set I have and that I want to use that would fit the sketch, sometimes I have no idea what to do until I start and other times I try to decide on what I am doing before I start I guess it just depends on my mood. Some of the sketches I print out have alot of notes on them about colors and stamps I want to try, some are just blank. Sometimes if I have a new set I try to make the sketch work with the set I want to use.

On this card I had decided to try and see if the "Pocket Silhouette" set would work for the circles. This is what I came up with. After struggling a bit, I like how it came out, it looks so much prettier IRL. I just couldn't get a good picture.

I divided my white mat piece into nine squares and scored them. I stamped my images and punched them and their mats out with my 1" and 1-1/4" circle punches. I then mounted them onto the white scored piece of cardstock. The brown strips was added after, because I thought it needed something. Then I thought those brown strips should be pierced, so I added that after as well. It should have been done before, but...... Some of the holes are not exactly straight because of the bulk and the other things in the way.

The DS paper is from the Chocolate Chip Patterns DS paper. The sentiment is from the Bella Blossom Stamp set and then I added a red flower punched from the Three flower punch with a silver sticky rhinestone in the middle.

Well, that's all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Stamping all!!!

Let the Relaxation Begin, Copics and DS Paper Share

Good Monday Morning Peeps! Hope you all had a great weekend.

Today's card is made with a new set I just got called "Branch Out". I love it! Such possibilities with this set.

I used Jen Del Muro's Sketch For You To Try, for the layout on this card.

I started with a base of chocolate chip followed by some So Saffron and the The DS paper is from SAB. The sentiment is also a SAB set, I just inked up part of it. I also used other new goodies, my flower asst. brads in chocolate chip and the new edge punch. Some more so saffron ribbon that is also available during SAB only. Added a butterfly to the corner, it is a MS punch.

I am sure all of you know about Copics Markers, but I am new to them, I have read alot about them and seen so many beautiful things done with them, I wanted to try some, but didn't know anyone with them, so I started to acquire a few, they sell some at Hobby Lobby, they are pricey tho, $6.49 each, but I use my 40% off coupon, and I have gotten a few, little by little. I still only have a handful, maybe a dozen so far, and I hadn't tried to use them yet. I was waiting til I had enough to color something. So over the weekend I wanted to try something and see what all the "talk" was about. This is what I did:

Like I said I only have a few, but I was really, really, really impressed with them! They are so AWESOME!! I MUST get a bunch!!! They color like nothing I have ever used! I didn't have any gray's to do the bucket so I used some blues. I can't say enough about good about them! I just had to show you! I know I need alot more practice with these, to get to the level I would like, but WOW!!!!

On another note, I have been toying with the idea of doing a SU
Designer Paper Share. Here is how it would work:

By participating in this Designer Paper Share,

you will receive 96 - 6 x 6 sheets of double-sided designer series paper AND 24 - 6 x 6 sheets of double-sided textured designer series paper (120 sheets total) for only $28!!

If you were to purchase each pack of designer paper separately, you would spend over $207 + tax + shipping & handling. A really great way to get a sample of all the Designer Paper. This is only the Designer Paper, not the Patterns Designer Paper.

A group of 8 will share each pack of Designer Series Paper and once a group is filled I'll order the designer paper and prepare it for shipping or pick up.

If anyone is interested please e-mail me and as soon as I have 8, I will send you a paypal invoice. Anyone person can purchase more than 1 share if they would like.

If you need your share shipped there will be an additional shipping charge of $5.00. Local people to me, may pick up their shares.

Welcome Baby

Hello Peeps! It's Saturday and the weather is great and SAS is this afternoon, all is good!!!

Today's card is a cute little baby card made with the DS paper and ribbon from SAB.

Yesterday while blog surfing I visited Toy's Haven. One of my all time favorite stampers and a really sweet person! Holly is a Stamping Rock Star. And speaking of Rock stars yesterday she had a sneak peek of some fun new stamps soon to be released by Our Craft Lounge. I simply fell in love with her cards, especially this one. I love the colors and the design.

My card today is based on that design. I used her layout and the same MS edge punches, just changed the colors to fit my baby card.

Not alot of stamping on this one, the sail boat is made with a circle punch and a couple of rectangle pieces of card stock cut at angles. I have seen this done alot around splitcoast and blogland. The colors I used are bashful blue, certainly celery and so saffron. The designer paper is from the new SAB pack as is the certainly celery twill ribbon. That ribbon is really nice, has a great feel and ties well.

The sentiment is from the SU set short and sweet and is stamped in black and punched out with the word window punch and is mounted on dimensionals. Alot of paper piercing done with my piercing tool and mat pack. The sailboat is also on dimensionals and I punched three circles with my 1/4" punch out of bashful blue and use some saffron brads in the middle and mounted them under the ribbon knot.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Retirement Congratulations

TGIF Peeps! Hope your week was good and your ready for some weekend fun, it is suppose to be very nice here this weekend and on Saturday afternoon I am going to my friends SAS. I am looking forward to it, we have fun and always make great cards!

Today's card is CAS (clean and simple) card. I have a hard time not adding alot of layers and embellishments. I based my card on this one, on Jenn Diercks' blog "Stamp Your Heart Out". She has an amazing talent and I love her blog, she is so sweet.

I loved how she had outlined the flowers with a bit of chocolate chip and wanted to try myself. The flowers are from the SU set "Petal Pizazz", you know I love that one, and they are stamped in riding hood red, tangerine and pacific blue. I used my chocolate chip marker to outline the outside of each flower. The riding hood red one is stamped directly onto the white piece of cardstock and the other two where stamped onto white scraps and cut out and mounted on dimensionals. They each have a white brad in the center.

The sentiment is from the SAB set "Congrats: and is stamped in chocolate chip ink.

I pierced around the outside edge of the white panel with my piercing tool and mat pack anf then mounted the white onto a piece of tangerine cardstock and then mounted that onto the base which is made from chocolate chip.

The card was really fast and easy and I like how it came out, altho I tried for a while to add more to it, nothing looked quite right, so I just left it like this, clean and simple.

I am going to use this card to give to a friend I went to high school who is retiring this month after 28 years with the postal service. The inside reads "let the relaxation begin" (Happy Retirement) and is also a stamp in the same SAB set.

Well, that is all for today, I am happy to report that the "uglies" are lifting!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!!

Another Mother's Day

Hello Peeps! It's Thursday and we are on the downhill slide to the weekend!

Today's card is made with the same sketch as yesterday's card. I really like the sketch and the big tag on the front.

I used the same stamp set, "Pocket Silhouettes" and the sentiment is from "All Holidays", I changed up the colors, this time using some more of the in colors, kiwi kiss and riding hood red along with whisper white and some of the Bella Rose DS paper. I used silver brads and a silver mini library clip. I added a kiwi photo corner that I had pierced. No ribbon on this one, but I was thinking I might add a small piece if riding hood red on the clip.

Still not feeling myself again today, the "uglies" are still here and it is definitely effecting my stamping! :(

I have a few new items arriving today, SAB stamps and ribbon and paper, hope to have some of that to show you tomorrow.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!

The Uglies

Happy Hump Day peeps! Hope your week is going good so far! I have had a "nasty" case of what I have been calling the "uglies" lately. I do not know why but I have been very testy and emotional and the slightest things upset me, even my family is annoying when this "nasty" bug hits. It has finally made it's way into my crafting area.

I made this card for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. Don't get me wrong I like this card but I trashed at least three attemps with this sketch, before I finally got this one done. I took alot of inspiration from this card made by Karen Giron. I used her idea of the tag on the front and the same stamp set.

I flipped the sketch and used elegant eggplant, more mustard and whisper white cardstock. I don't have the tag nestibilities so I made the my tag with the SU tag punch.

I think I also achieved another SU only card. The only thing that might not be is the white grosgrain ribbon, I am not sure where I got it from.

Here is a look at the inside:

So hopefully the "uglies" will not hang around to long and not effect my stamping any more.

That's all for today, thanks so stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Sweet Sketch

Hello Peeps!

Today's card is made with the sketch on Karen's Blog "The Sweetest Thing".

I started my card with the DP paper from SU called Candy Lane and I just used the colors from it. Very vanilla, riding hood red, pink pirouette and close to cocoa. The base is close to cocoa followed by riding hood red and then the designer paper. I again used the flowers from the Petal Pizazz set and layered them up with dimensionals. They just begged me too!!! LOL! :)

The sentiment is from the set "All Holidays" and this particular stamp had never seen ink, so it was about time.

The flower center is a brad from the silver hodge-podge kit and the center is just a small circle of RHR with some crystal effects on it. I also made some "faux" brads the same way. I just punched a few circles with my 1/4" punch attached a small glue dot to them and put them on a sheet of the slick paper I had saved from the dimensionals, so it would be easy to pull them up when dry, and added some crystal effects.

I added some pink ribbon and a little pirecing to finish it off. I finally was able to complete a Stampin' Up only card. Everytime I try, I seem to always add something that is not, but this time I did it! My friend Lois told me yesterday to quit trying so hard and then I could do it! LOL!!! Funny, I didn't even think about it with this card and I did it!

Well that seems to be all for today, thanks sooooo much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

2 Cards for 1 Sketch

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!! Hope you all had a great weekend! How about that Super Bowl? I was so disappointed that the Cardinals didn't win, but it was a really great game!!!

I made a couple of cards during the pre-game and game to show you today. Both of the cards was made with Jen's Sketch for you to Try..

When I print out a sketch, I always start thinking about what set I would like to use with it. My first thought was the flower from the SU Hostess set, Dream a Little. When I sit down to make it, I totally spaced that out. I pulled out the SU a Happy Heart Set and wanted to try to use the butterfly from it for the circles. I used some Washington Apple DS paper and riding hood red and bashful blue cardstock and altho I like this card the next is my fave.

This is the card I had first thought about when I saw the sketch. I stamped the flower from the SU Dream a Little Hostess set with black stazon on watercolor paper and used my markers and aquapainter to color the flowers. I used rose red and old olive. Every time I sit down to make a card recently I have been trying really hard to make a SU only card and I always fall short. I reach for my cuttlebug embossing folders or a non-SU punch. I am ordering those embossing plates from SU so that will help and my new decorative edge SU punch is on it's way to me now.

Well, that is all I have for you today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!
