SC325.....Happiness Shared

Hello Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made with last week's sketch challenge on splitcoaststampers.

I have to admit I had a bit of trouble with this sketch and my triangle panels are not quite symmetrical, but I still like the card! he he! I used this awesome Stampin Up stamp set called Happiness Shared, I love the flower in this set! I stamped it with black stazon onto some very vanilla card stock and colored it in with my aqua painter and ink pads. The little "friend" sentiment is from the Tiny Tags stamp set.

I used some DS paper from the Vintage Springtime paper pack. I also used rose red, soft suede and very vanilla card stock. I cut a top note die piece with the rose red card stock for the back piece in the sketch. I added some basic pearls and seam binding ribbon in crumb cake and rose red colors. Love that seam binding, you really need all of the colors of this ribbon!!!

Well, that is all from me today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

Color Challenge.....Take Care

Happy Hump Day Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the Color Challenge this week on SplitCoaststampers.

The colors to use are Marina Mist, Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery. I added in whisper white and crumb cake to my card. The base is crumb Cake and the DS paper is baja breeze. I used the stamp sets Inspired by Nature and Butterfly Prints. I stamped the grass with Certainly Celery and the butterflies are done with Marina Mist. I double up the butterflies and added some gold half pearls to the middles of the butterflies.

The sentiment is a retired hostess set and I don't know the name. I added some Marina Mist satin ribbon and made a pretty bow.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for coming by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Paper Crafters Sampler--Easter Bonnet

Hello Peeps!!!

Toady I am sharing an Easter Bonnet I made from a template that was in the Paper Crafters Sampler in February of 2010. This template is available to purchase at a discount now with an instant download. Check out the Paper Crafter's Sampler Library for this and many more templates. Be sure to use code PCSVB if you decide to purchase this sampler. Over the next few weeks I will be showing you a few more of the templates that are still available.

This Easter Bonnet template is easy to use, just print it out on the card stock of your choice, cut put together and decorate.

I decide to make my Easter Bonnet to look like a straw hat, like the one my Grandma wore when she worked in her garden, well sort of. I used Crumb Cake card stock for my hat and embossed with the square lattice EF. I decorated with some daffodil delight satin ribbon and then made a nest for my blue bird. I used some Spanish moss, a few leaves and some curly strips to make the nest. The bird was punched with some bashful blue card stock and embossed with withe embossing powder. The stamp is from the Easter Blossoms stamp set.

Well, that's all for now, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC110......Thanks

GOOD MORNING PEEPS!!! It's Sunday which means it is time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week;

Awesome sketch Huh? I know lots of people won't love this one because of the tilted panel, but I don't mind them, in fact I kinda like them!!! LOL!

I started this card with a base of basic black and then for the next layers I used more basic black, some newsprint DSP and another piece of basic black. I ran all these layers through the square lattice embossing folder with my Big Shot.

The main panel is from a set I just got, just got for free I might add! Nothing much better than free rubber!! I stamped the truck image onto some watercolor paper with black stazon. I used my aqua painter and my ink pads to color it. I used Pacific Point ink for the truck and some crumb cake for the sign and baskets and then real red and cherry cobbler for the apples. I colored in the grass and ground with old olive and soft suede. I matted this with basic black and the DSP I used is from a retired pack. The sentiment comes from the Thank You Kindly Stamp set and is stamped onto some watercolor paper and punched out with the wide oval punch. I mated this with more of the DSP. I added some silver pearls to the sentiment piece and to the card base bottom and side.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OCC...ATC's

Good Morning Peeps!! It is Saturday and that means it is time for another new challenge at Our Creative Corner.

This week our challenge hostess is Rebecca Ednie from Eclectic Endeavours and her challenge for us is:

Let's make ATCs! These mini pieces of art measure 2.5x3.5" and are fun and quick to make! Show us your ATC as is or incorporate it into another project. Here's the Twist. You have to use Kraft plus cream or white, black or chocolate and ONLY ONE other main colour.

I chose to incorporate my ATC into my card and show it to you that way. The ATC is easy to spot on here, it is the middle piece. I had never made an ATC until this challenge, so be easy on me. I too, mis-read the instructions, (Hey, it happens!), when making mine ATC. So when I started making this I thought I needed to use cream, my watercolor paper, and to use Kraft or chocolate or black, but it really was yo use Kraft plus chocolate or black. But by the time I realized my mix-up I wasn't in the mood to start over, so my black comes in the form of the stamped outline of the flowers and leaves. Sorry about that, but after the week I have had it just has to be that way! LOL!!!

My one color on here is Pacific Point, love that color! My base is crumb cake and then I used pacific point for the next layer. I embossed that layer with the tulip frame EF. The middle piece or the ATC is made up Crumb Cake, Pacific Point and my water colored piece. I added the flower heads to the piece with some foam tape. The flowers are from the Stampin' Up Sweet Summer stamp set. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I used a bunch of small silver pearls on the flowers and added some very vanilla seam binding ribbon.

I hope you’ll play along this week and have fun with this challenge! Be sure to check out the rest of the OCC design team creations! To play along, upload your creation to your blog or gallery, then leave a comment linking to your project over at Our Creative Corner so we can check it out. If you upload to SCS, remember to use keyword: OCCC.

Happy Easter Cart

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!!!

Isn't this little cart the cutest thing ever? It was designed by the fabulous
Heather Klump and was featured in the February issue of the Paper Crafters Sampler. I had the urge yesterday to make myself one. I did change it just a bit, made mine a bit smaller. Heather's pattern is so easy to follow and came together very quickly. Gotta LOVE that.

I also used an idea from fellow DT member Rosemarie Diehl from the same sampler for the eggs decorating my cart. She had made some similar and used on a card and I wanted to try those too! Of course, mine are a bit different too. I used some oval nesties to cut out the "eggs" and decorated them with some strips cut from the tasteful trim die and pretty basic pearls. I added a sentiment flag, "Happy Easter" from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

I stuffed mine with some paper grass and added some Cadbury Creme Eggs, my DD's favorite Easter candy. This cart is so versatile, not just for Easter, I can see it decorated for fall with some pumpkins, and for Christmas with poinsettias or ornaments......oh the possibilities!

Check out the Sampler, you will love the projects in there, if you purchase it be sure and use my code: PCSVB. Thanks so much!

HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Color Challenge....Because I Care

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the color challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers.

This color combo is so pretty, pear pizzazz, regal rose and so saffron. They are so springy!!! So I decided to make some daffodils, I saw this on some one's blog recently and now I can't find it, if you know let me know so I can give them credit and a link. The flowers are made from the Stampin' Up Growing Green stamp set. I stamped the flower onto some very vanilla card stock and colored in with so saffron and daffodil delight ink. The centers are 1/2 inch circles of so saffron and the are crumpled and pleated and then added to the center with a bit of mono glue.

The leaves behind the daffodils come from the Just Believe stamp set and the sentiment is from the Because I Care Hostess set. I used pear Pizzazz for my base and followed that with some very vanilla and the DS paper is from the Hostess prints pack. I added some regal rose card stock that was embossed with the square lattice and the perfect dots EF. I matted both with very vanilla card stock.

I added some regal rose ribbon and crochet trim ribbon across the middle and some basic pearls for accents in the corners and centers of the flowers.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Paper Players.....Happy Easter

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!!

Today's card share is one I made with the Clean & Simple Sketch challenge this week on the Paper Players Blog I started this card with a base of white card stock. I then used a layer of baja breeze that I embossed with the framed tulips EF. The main image panel is made up of pear pizzazz and whisper white card stock.

The Easter Eggs are from the Easter Blossoms stamp set. I stamped with versamark onto daffodil delight, baja breeze and pretty in pink card stock. I embossed with white embossing powder. I cut out the eggs and added them to the main panel with some dimensionals. I added some pretty in pink satin ribbon and the sentiment comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I used the word window punch to punch out and then feed it back into the punch on one side to shorten it. I added it to the ribbon with some sticky tape.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

WT314....Sending Springtime Smiles

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Ways to Use It Challenge on splitcoast. The challenge was to Use a smile, something/anything that is smiling or use the word "smile" anywhere on your project.

I decided to use the sentiment from the Easter Blossoms stamp set. I also wanted to use the Nature Walk stamp set and the cool birdcage stamp that is in it. I used the flowers and colored them with my aqua painter and some old olive and bravo burgundy ink. I stamped the birdcage on a separate piece of card stock and cut it out and added it over the flowers. Looks kinda cute nestled in amongst the flowers huh?

The DS paper is another sneak peek if some new paper that will be available soon. I used very vanilla and chocolate chip card stock as well. I combined some very vanilla and crumb cake seam binding ribbon to make my bow and then finished it of with an antique brad. I added some basic pearls in the top corners.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SSSC109....Hello bunny

GOOD MORNING PEEPS!!! It's Sunday which means it is time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

Great sketch, Loved this one! I pulled out a set I hadn't used in awhile, Stampin' Up's The Nicest Things. I inked up the bunny stamp with timber brown stazon and stamped him onto some watercolor paper twice! I then stamped him two more times onto some scrap water color paper. I colored the rabbit in with crumb cake ink. I used cajun craze for the flower pot and a bit of baja breeze on the carrot tag on the pot. I cut out two of the bunnies and adhered them over the first bunny. I colored in the ground with a bit of old olive ink and added some baja for the sky.

The base of the card is made with Crumb Cake card stock, I then used some cajun craze card stock and the designer paper is from the new soon to be available pack, Paisley Petals. The main piece is matted with cajun craze and the bottom portion was embossed with the dot EF. I added a crumb cake strip across the bottom of the image panel and added some crunched crochet trim across it. I then added two small tags and an antique brad. The tags are made with the Tiny Tags stamp set. I finished it off with some basic pearls in the corners.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OCC.....Happy Birthday

This week our challenge hostess is Rebecca Ednie from Eclectic Endeavours and her challenge for us is:

Reuse your Packaging! Use those boxes, cans, bags, plastic clamshells or embellishment bubbles you might usually throw out to create a fabulous project!

This was another toughie for me, and my card is really not my style at all, but after I got into making it I kinda like the outcome. I decide early on that I would use some torn apart cardboard from a box. I cut a piece of cardboard the size I needed and then just peeled off one side to expose the corrugated part. I inked it up a bit with some distressing ink, by just rubbing the cardboard over the ink pad. I got out some retired DSP, I think this is called Au Chocolate. I used a bit across the bottom part of the card.

I made a lace flower by gathering some lace and forming a circle and stitching together. I added an antique brad to the center. I used some swirls cut from chocolate card stock and little leaves cut from the DSP to tuck in around the lace flower.

The sentiment is from the Something to Celebrate stamp set. I stamped with chocolate chip ink onto very vanilla card stock and cut the sentiment into two pieces.

I hope you’ll play along this week and have fun with this challenge! Be sure to check out the rest of the OCC design team creations! Free 4 All.....Easter Wishes

TGIF Peeps!!! I was up and out early this morning, had a nice long walk and ran a couple of errands. It is nice to be feeling better!

Today's card share is made with the Free 4 All Challenge: How Does Your Garden Grow today on splitcoaststampers. I went for my Stampin' Up Abundant Hope stamp set. I love the daffodil stamp in that set! I stamped several onto some white card stock with Memento London Fog ink. I colored them with various copics. I then cut them all out to add to my card.

The base is Crumb cake card stock and the designer series paper is from the SAB Ice Cream Parlor DSP. Love this pretty little pumpkin pie sheet. I made the image piece out of more crumb cake and whisper white. The white was embossed with the dot folder and my big shot. I then tied a pretty daffodil delight satin ribbon and bow around the bottom of the panel. I added my flowers to the piece with dimensionals and tucking the bottoms under the ribbon.

The sentiment on here comes from the Stampin' Up Something to Celebrate stamp set which is a level 2 hostess set from the mini. I used the large oval and scallop oval punches. I added some basic pearls to the corners and the sentiment piece.

I have daffodils just like these blooming in my yard right now, they are so pretty and some of my favorite spring flowers!

Well, that is all from me today, thanks fro stopping by and be sure and come by in the morning for my OCC challenge sample.

HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Color Challenge.....Thank You

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Today I am popping in with a quick share, a card I made with the color challenge last week on Splitcoaststampers The color challenge was baja breeze, crumb cake, soft suede and neutrals of your choice.

I used the Nature Walk stamp set. I stamped the flowers from the set onto some watercolor paper. I used a sweet Sunday sketch from a few weeks back fro my layout on this card with the exception of the main focal that was a circle and I used a rectangle. The DSP is the Elegant Soiree paper pack. I also used some baja breeze seam binding ribbon, I am really loving that ribbon, if you haven't tried any yet, you need to move it to the top of your to do list!

I am keeping the chit chat to a minimum as I am way behind with MY to do list since being sick. If you have any questions be sure and ask and I will do my best to answer. Take care all and have a great day!

HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SSSC108...Birthday

GOOD MORNING PEEPS!!! It's Sunday which means it is time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

I flipped the sketch to fit the image I wanted to use. Spring is definitely here in Southwest MO, we can still have some cool temps, but my daffodils are up and blooming a sure sign to me that spring is here. I LOVE daffodils, so I had to pull out this retired stamp from Stampin' Up, Abundant Hope. I stamped the flowers onto some White card stock with some Momento tuxedo black ink and colored them in with my copics. I like the traditional daffodils but my favorite are the ones with orange centers and also the ones with the pink centers. So I colored these to mimic some growing in my yard right now.

The base of y card is made with Crumb Cake and then I followed that with some pumpkin pie and then the DS paper is from the SAB Ice Cream Parlor paper pack. I then used my circle cutter to cut a 4-1/2 inch circle of crumb cake. I embossed this with two different EF. I used the Vintage Wall and the Square Lattice Embossing folders. I added the pumpkin pie satin ribbon for the circle element on the sketch. I added a button threaded with some twine to the bow. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I added some silver pearls to the corners and called it done!

OCC...Fabric Flower

Good Morning Peeps!! It is Saturday and that means it is time for another new challenge at Our Creative Corner.

This week our challenge hostess is - Kristin Tierney and her challenge for us is Fabulous Fabric - Let's put aside our usual fabric embellishment - ribbon; and use fabric instead! Create a project using fabric as a background, an embellishment or your focal point.

I wasn't sure what to do with this one at first, I have purchased the Stampin' Up fabric but really haven't used it, so that was my starting point. I also knew that I wanted to make a flower, but what kind or how? I tried a couple of thinks and then finally settled on this technique, so easy peasy. I used a 24 inch long by 2-1/2 inch wide strip of fabric, folded in half and ironed. I then just did a running stitch down the edge and gathered. I then curled the flower around on itself and anchored my stitching. I added a pretty button and it was finished.

I added it to my card by using my glue gun. I used this sketch for my card layout. keeping it clean and simple so all attention goes to the fabric flower! I did use some fun lace I have been hoarding for awhile.

I hope you’ll play along this week and have fun with this challenge! Be sure to check out the rest of the OCC design team creations! To play along, upload your creation to your blog or gallery, then leave a comment linking to your project over at Our Creative Corner so we can check it out. SC323.....Hello

TGIF Peeps!!! Hope you all had a great week, we have had some cool and rainy days here is Southwest Missouri, but a warm up is on its way for the weekend.

Today I am sharing a card I made with the sketch this week on Splitcoaststampers. I did have a bit of a struggle with the angle piece behind the main panel, but I finally got it figured out and I like the finished card. I used a couple of in this years in colors on here, I haven't really used them that much so it was a nice change to work with a couple. I chose Poppy Parade and Blushing Bride. The base of the card is Blushing Bride and I followed that with some poppy parade and then some DS paper from the level 1 hostess in color paper pack. The angle piece is made up of some poppy parade, punched on both sides with the lace edge punch and a strip of blushing bride DS paper down the middle.

I added some blushing bride ribbon down the angled strip and tied a bow and attached to the top with my glue gun. The main image piece is a flower stamp from the Friends 24-7 stamp set and is masked and stamped repeatedly onto some water color paper with black stazon. I colored with my aqua painter using old olive, poppy parade and outlined with crumb cake ink. I matted this with poppy parade and blushing bride card stock. I added some silver pearls to the corners and made a "Hello" sentiment flag to add to the main panel. The Hello comes from the tiny teacup stamp.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for coming by today! HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Color Challenge....Thanks so Much

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Today's card share is made with this week's color challenge on Splitcoaststampers. this week the colors are Concord Crush, Bashful Blue and Pear Pizazz, I added in the neutral very vanilla.

My card base is very vanilla and I followed that up with some pear pizzazz. The DSP is the awesome First Edition Speciality Paper from the Occasions Mini. Super Fun Paper!!!

I made my three circles with a nestie and embossed them with the square lattice embossing folder. I made one in each of the three colors. I used the SAB set Bliss, I stamped the butterfly in that set onto the very vanilla card stock using the three challenge colors. I added three basic rhinestones to the butterfly center. I matted this piece with concord crush card stock and pierced all around the edges. I used some concord crush twill ribbon around the base and tied a bow. Three more rhinestones finished it off. The main image panel is added to the base with dimensionals. I used a sentiment from the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set and added it to the edge of the main panel.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

TLC315......Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday Peeps!

Yesterday the Technique Challenge on Splitcoast was to make an ODD shaped card, anything besides the usual square or rectangle card. I immediately thought about the cupcake card I made last November, you can see it HERE. so I decide to make another for this challenge. I used white for my base and then used some rose red that I crimped for the cupcake base/liner. The top of the cupcake is some yummy pumpkin pie DSP from the Sweet & Sour paper pack. I used the Bigz L die, Fun Flowers, from the Occasions Mini, to make the flowers for the topper. I cut one out of rose red, sponged and embossed it, then added another layer cut with the same die out of some of the DSP. I put a jumbo silver brad in the middle and added it to the cupcake with some dimensionals. I added some yummy pumpkin pie satin ribbon around the bottom and tied a pretty bow. This wonderful satin ribbon is so pretty and ties beautiful bows. I then stamped the Happy Birthday from the Something to Celebrate stamp set onto some very vanilla card stock and cut and curled the flag. I tucked it into the flower and attached with a bit of glue.
Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Springtime Smiles

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Paper Players Challenge. This week the Challenge is Spring has Sprung.

I really love this SAB set, Sweet Summer, I colored my flowers with perfect plum and certainly celery inks. I stamped the flowers onto watercolor paper and used my aqua painter to color. The sentiment is from the Easter Blossoms stamp set and I used a couple of nesties on this card. I stamped the butterflies and cut them out and added them to the card with a bit of a dimensional. I added some stickles to the wings of the butterflies too. I used some certainly celery satin ribbon to weave the sentiment piece through and tie a pretty bow.

SSSC107....Celebrate

GOOD MORNING PEEPS!!! It's Sunday which means it is time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

Well, I say fabulous but in reality, I dislike sketches like these, the kind with small squares or circles, they freak me out. The DT has been chatting it up about this sketch and some of the upcoming ones, because one has a tilted panel, and some people really HATE those, not me, I will take a tilted panel over these squares any day, but that is enough whining from me!!! LOL!!

I have figured out that these squares are not getting to me, so if I ignore them they don't win, so that is what I did, oh, they are still there, but grouped close together and with the same color and texture they almost look like one complete panel, and that "works" for me!!! HA! HA!

I used some crumb cake, very vanilla and rose red card stock for my card, I did add in a bit of rose red DS paper from the Sweet & Sour paper pack. I have been having fun lately with ribbon, putting at least two pieces together, today I used some rose red and crumb cake seam binding! Love that look! I used my favorite SAB set called Sweet Slumber and paired it with the cute Aviary set. I stamped the flower flourish with black stazon onto the very vanilla and colored it in a bit with my aqua painter. I stamped the bird cage with the rose red bird inside onto some scrap and cut it out. I added it to the card base with a dimensional, hanging it down past the main image panel, cute huh? The sentiment "Celebrate" is from the Something to Celebrate level 2 hostess set in the occasions mini! I made it into a small flag and added it to the card with dimensionals and added a few little silver pearls to the end.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OCC.....Thanks So Much

Good Morning Peeps!! It is Saturday and that means it is time for another new challenge at Our Creative Corner.

This week our challenge hostess is - Kristin Tierney and her challenge for us is a: 1,2,3,4 Challenge
Here it is! Create a project using these 4 requirements:
One patterned paper
Two layers
Three stamps
Four non-paper embellishments (can be the same type. Ex: 4 buttons; or combine several, ex: 2 buttons, 1 ribbon, 1 brad)

This was REALLY a challenge for me, the hardest part? You guessed it the two layers!!
I must have started and restarted on this one four or five times. I finally got it. My base, then my two layers, my patterned paper and my main image panel.
There has been alot of chatter on the DT blog about the layers, does a mat count as a layer? Does the DSP count as a layer? Every one has their own thoughts on this, to me each piece of paper is a layer, so that is how I tackled this challenge.
The base of my card is white card stock. My DSP is from the Lap of Luxury paper pack. I then stamped the hydrangea flower from the Stampin Up hostess set Because I Care onto some white card stock with memento black ink and colored with my copics. That was stamp number 1.
The next two stamps come from the Tiny Tags Stamp set. I used the thanks so much and the small flower flourish, I punched this out with my jewelry tag punch.
My four embellishments are:
Concord Crush ribbon.
Decorative Heart stick Pin
and
2 silver pearls.

I hope you’ll play along this week and have fun with this challenge! Be sure to check out the rest of the OCC design team creations! To play along, upload your creation to your blog or gallery, then leave a comment linking to your project over at Our Creative Corner so we can check it out. SC322.....Thank You

TGIF Peeps!!! Another week down and now it's time for the weekend fun!! You got plans? Me? I am busier than a one armed paper hanger!!! LOL!! Lots to do and lots to get done!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the sketch challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers.

I really liked this sketch, I knew right away what I wanted to do, I pulled out this Stampin Up hostess set Because I care stamp set. I stamped the flower image with memento tuxedo black ink onto white card stock. I did not like how dark the image was with the black ink and next time I want to try a softer color. I used my copics to color in the flower and leaves.

I used Pink Pirouette card stock for my base. I then followed that up with some pretty in pink card stock. I then used some white card stock that I embossed with the vintage wall embossing folder. The two back strips are pretty in pink card stock and some pretty in pink patterns print DSP. I added some whisper white satin ribbon to make my bow and added a button with some silver cording through it. I added some silver pearls to the top and my sentiment piece is from the same set and I stamped it on white and matted with pink and added it on top of the ribbon.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Color Challenge.....Kind Thanks

Happy Thursday Peeps!! Are you guys watching American Idol? I love that show and watch it every season! This is Season 10 and they have some fabulous talent and I love the new judges, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler are amazing!!

Ok, onto today's card, this is a card I made with this week's color challenge on Splitcoast. This week the colors are Marina Mist, Certaily Celery and Rose Red. I decided to get out my Stampin Up Build a Blossom stamp set and matching punch. I got this back when they were first available and had never used them, I do that sometimes, fall in love with something in the catalog, or mini and then when I get it I just let it sit for awhile. Not sure why I waited on this one, I love the big ol' flower I made with this.

I stamped the flower with rose red ink onto rose red card stock and used the matching punch to punch out each petal. I then used a small 1 inch circle punch to layer up the petals. First I did use my bone folder to curl the petals a bit. I then used the same technique to do the leaves, certainly celery ink onto certainly celery card stock. I added an antique brad to the center.

The base of the card is Marina Mist card stock and I followed that with some whisper white that was embossed with the dot folder. I added a bit of marina mist DS paper and some marina mist satin ribbon. The sentiment comes from the Thank You kindly stamp set.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Mojo.......Birthday Wishes

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.

I chose to make a square card, this one is 5 inch square of crumb cake card stock. I followed that with rose red card stock and the DSP is from the Springtime Vintage paper pack.

The stamp set I used is one of the free SAB sets called Sweet Summer. Love this set, it may be my favorite of the SAB stamps. The sentiment is from the Occasional Quotes Hostess set. The rose red scallop is the new 2-3/8 inch punch. I ran that scallop circle through the square lattice EF. I added some rose red seam binding and some crochet trim layered together and tied into a pretty bow.

The flower heads on the main panel is cut out and added to the panel with dimensionals. I used rose red and old olive to color in the flowers with my aqua painter.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING
