Happy New Year

Happy New Years Eve Peeps!!!!
I  finally have a new card to share with ya'll!!!

I made this card using the color challenge this week on SplitcoaststampersMary is the hostess this week and she picked some fun colors for making a celebration card, which is the dessert option.
The colors are:

Basic Black, Silver and Whisper White. I pulled out my Stampin Up Happy Hour stamp set to make this card. I stamped the glasses using Smoky Slate ink onto some Whisper White card stock, I stamped the glass twice and then added my sentiment under the glasses. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I used my stamp a ma jig to line it up. I then used my Pierced Circle dies to cut out, these are not SU.
I matted with basic black and a scallop circle.

The base of the card is Basic Black and then a layer of Silver Foil paper and then an embossed piece of white. I embossed with the Perfect Dot EF. I dug through my stash of DSP and found some retired black and white, this comes from the Night and Day pack.
I then decided I wanted to make a pretty bow for the bottom, I have the SU Gift Bow die, but it was too large so I used my oval punches to make this one. I added a piece of Silver Glimmer to the center of the bow and mounted it on the card using my glue gun. I also added some silver glimmer to the glasses for the liquid in them. The bubbles are some silver pearls and I added two larger ones to the top corners of the card.

Wishing all of you a very Happy New Year!!!!

Sweet Sunday........Be Merry

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day and it is a special one,
not only the last sketch of 2013 but also the 200th Sweet Sunday Sketch!!
Karen is giving away a MFT gift card to a couple of lucky participants
this week  in honor of the 200th sketch.
So be sure and play along.
Here is the sweet sketch she has for us this week:

As you can see I changed mine up just a tad, I used a tag in place of the oval in the sketch. I have been making a few tags for Christmas trays and this is one I had left, so I decided it would be perfect for my card.
The base of my card is Crumb Cake card stock and then a layer of Cherry cobbler and then the DSP is from the Stampin Up Season of Style pack.

The tag is made with the Single "Be Merry" stamp. I used Versamark and some white embossing powderon the Cherry cobbler card stock. I matted with some Crumb Cake and used the Matching Framelit die to cut the top piece.
I added some ribbon and bells to the top and then had to add some silver glimmer paper across the bottom and for the small flag at the top. The piece across the bottom is punched with the dotted ribbon scallop border punch and then I added a row of pearls across the center. I used another larger pearl on the little flag piece. My last Christmas card for this year, I think!

We are bidding a sad farewell to one of our Sweet Sunday Stampers,  Melissa is stepping down from the team to make way for new adventures in her life, she will be greatly missed!

Let's see what the ladies did with this sketch:

CC457......Sending Joy & Cheer

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a tag I made using the color challenge this week on Splitcoast.

The colors this week are Real Red, Blushing Bride and Gumball Green with  a dessert option of making a Holiday Thank You or a Tag.
Tag it is, since I was needed a few. I always give out Goodie Trays to neighbors, friends and family at Christmas and I like to put a handmade tag on each one, this year may be an exception as I only have a couple made and time is running short. Anyway, I decide to make a tag with these colors.

I had the idea for this tag awhile back and I had ordered me a pretty wreath die to use on it, this die comes from HERE. I used a chipboard rectangle coaster for this tag. I cut the edges at a slant to make it into a tag.
I covered the coaster with some Blushing bride cardstock and then I used some of my favorite music sheet paper. I left the bottom edge un-glued on the music paper because I knew I wanted to tear it to add my sentiment. I tore off a corner of the sheet music paper exposing the Blush card stock below and then
I sponged the edges of of the tag using Some Tim Holtz Distressing Ink, I also sponged the torn edge of the sheet music paper.

I die cut my wreath 4 times using gumball green card stock to make my wreath. First one I glued to the surface directly, the next wreath was added using very, very small bits of  dimensionals. Then the next layer was glued. I then added my red bird, using real red card stock and my Stampin Up Bird Punch.
I nestled the bird into the wreath tucking it under a few of the branches. I then took my 4th wreath and cut it apart and added it around the wreath to give it even more dimension. I love this wreath and how it turned out.
I then used my Stampin Up Owl Punch for the little berries on the wreath. I glued them in ones and threes onto the wreath.

I used a small pearl for the eye of the bird. The wing on the bird was curled just a bit and added with a dimensional.
I was lucky enough to snag the Stampin Up Endless Wishes Stamp Set before it sold out, I had not even opened it until now.  I used it to build my sentiment. I added the "and" symbol with my black marker.
I used my crop a dile to punch a hole in the top of the tag and added some Real Red Satin ribbon and rusty jingle bells to finish it off.

Peace

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a cool little Christmas Decor I item I made. I actually saw one very similar to this one HERE. I was instantly in love and wanted to make one for myself, I priced it out and knew it was to much so I just filed it away in my memory for "Someday".

Well, on Cyber Monday I was doing a bit of online shopping and came across a big sale at Spellbinders, and was able to pick up two sets of the dies used on this for less than the cost of one set of dies. I also found this sign locally and got a big discount on it and it already was covered with this cool paper.

I put it together yesterday and it looks really nice, even better in person!

I changed mine up a bit from the original but still I am happy with the outcome, here are a few closeups of the adornments.

You know I had to add some pretty ribbon and my fave jingle bells.

This pretty deer comes from the Frosty Forms Die and I cut it out with some Gold Foil paper.

The present is from the same die as above and the holly leaves is a PTI die I got last year.

The tree is from the Holiday Trees die set. The paper for the trees and present are some Bo Bunny paper I have had for a couple of years.  I used my retired SU small star punch with gold foil paper for the stars on the top of the tree. I added some red rhinestones here and there.

Color Challenge.....Birthday Wishes

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Color Challenge this week on Splitcoast

Love these soft colors, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe and Crumb Cake.  I got to make my favorite kind of card, a flower card! :) The dessert option this week was to repeat something on your card, I repeated several things so I guess I had a few desserts!

I used the Stampin Up Morning Meadow Hostess Set for my pretty Crisp Cantaloupe flowers and the leaves are from the Secret Garden Stamp Set in Pistachio Pudding. I stamped four flowers and hand cut them out, I do have a punch for this flower but I always have a hard time getting it to line up, I know there is a trick for that, I need to research that. I stamped two of the leaves and used the matching framelits to cut them out.

I added several basic pearls to my card, in the flower centers and at the corners of the card. The flowers are mounted to the image piece with dimesionals and there are dimesionals in between the layers of flowers as well.
The base of the card is a 5 in square of Crumb Cake and then a layer of white and then another layer of Crumb Cake. The DSP is from the Birthday Basics paper pack. The embossed piece of Crumb Cake is some that I found in my stash already embossed with the square lattice EF.
I added my sentiment which comes from the Petite Pair Stamp Set. I stamped with black onto white card stock and then used my 1-3/8" circle punch to punch it out. I then punched out a 1-1.2" circle of Crisp Cantaloupe to layer it onto. I added four small pearls under sentiment. and added it to my card with some dimensionals.

Sweet Sunday.....Merry Little Christmas

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

As you can see I flipped the sketch on its side. I wanted to use this pretty sentiment from the Stampin Up Merry Little Christmas, I love this sweet little set, just the sentiment and two elements make up this set.

I decided to use the Merry Monday Challenge this week which is to use the Chalkboard Technique.
I stamped the sentiment with Versmark onto some black card stock and embossed with white embossing powder. I then sponged on some white craft ink around to make the "chalk dust" look. The embossing makes my card stock warp a bit so I matted my black with another piece of black.

The base of my card is a 5 x 11 inch piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock folded in half. I then used a piece of white and the DSP is from the Deck the Halls pack.
I added some Cherry Cobbler seam binding across the card and then made a loopy bow. I added three white sparkly jingle bells to the bow. I love jingle bells and have a big assortment of colors but I think besides rusty ones I love these white sparkly ones the best!! I finished off with three little silver sequins. Simple but sweet! :)

Now let's see what the rest of the girls did with this fun sketch:

A Merry Christmas

Hello Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge this week on SplitcoastStampers.

Some fun colors this week:

Gold, Wild Wasabi and Daffodil Delight, not your traditional colors for a Christmas card, but I do like the results. I started with a favorite stamp set, Stampin Up's A Beautiful Season, retired.
I stamped with black stazon onto some confetti cream card stock. I then colored with my aqua painter and ink pads, I used wild wasabi, daffodil delight and basic gray. I used some ink from my gold encore pad to color the holly berries, but then in the end I covered them with some small gold pearls. I thought the gold ink looked very dull and I liked the gold pearls better.
I stamped a second image and colored the leaves to cut out and pop up, the dessert option on this challenge was to fussy cut something, so I did.

I used some crumb cake ink to shade my image and I used my white gel pen to add some lines to the holly leaves. The sentiment comes from the Bells and Boughs set and I used some Daffodil Delight seam binding ribbon to make my bow and added a very vanilla button to the center.
The DSP on here is from a retired pack, Woodland Walk.
The base of the card is the same Confetti Cream as the image is stamped on and I used some gold foil paper to mat my image and DSP.
I finished up by doing a bit of doodling around the image with my black marker.

Hope you enjoyed this one!

Joyful Christmas Wishes

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Popping in here to quickly share I card I made awhile back and had not posted her on the ol blog!

I made this using a color challenge on Splitcoast.

The colors are Baked Brown Sugar, Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler.
I wanted to use theis Single Stamp from Stampin Up called Christmas Star. I stamped with Versmark onto the Baked Brown Sugar card stock and used some Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder.

I then cut out the star and creased the lines on the star using my stylus and piercing mat. I just went over the lines a few times and then folded up and down to achieve the 3-D effect. I added several dimesionals to the center to pop it up!

The sentiment comes for the Joyful Christmas Stamp set and I stamped with Always Artichoke ink. It doesn't show in pic that I used the Artichoke ink very well. I used some more Brown Sugar card stock and Artichoke in the BG.

I added some crystal swirls from my stash.

Hope you like it! Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping by!
