Sweet Sunday......Hello, you

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I LOVE this sketch and had such fun putting this card together. It did not come out like I had imagined when I sit down to make it, I was going to use another stamp for the flowers but ended up going with these and I really like them.
I actually used several sets on this card, which I don't tend to do much I generally use only one or two per card but on this one I used four.
I started out with a base of Perfect Plum card stock and then a layer of PTI white and the DSP is some from an old Subtles paper pack.

I used a paper doily for my circle element and added a layer of plum cut with my scallop nesties and then a circle of white for the sentiment. The sentiment is from the Regarding Dahlias stamp set and I stamped with black. The flowers are from the Flower Shop and Petite Petals stamp sets. I stamped with Perfect plum and cut them out and layered them around the circle using some dimesionals. The leaves are from the Gifts of Kindness stamp set and are stamped with Pear Pizzazz ink and cut out and tucked around the flowers.
The flags are more white that I embossed with the Woodgrain EF. I added some rhinestones to the flower centers to finish it off.

DD and FMS.....Feel Better Soon

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using two of my favorite challenges. The sketch is from the Freshly Made Sketches:
and the Color Challenge at Dynamic Duos:

I started my card with a base of Crumb Cake card stock and I followed that with a layer of Rich Razleberry and then another piece of Crumb Cake that I embossed with the Woodgrain EF.

Th doily behind my flower arrangement is a MFT die and is cut with basic black card stock. I die cute three flowers using Rich Razzleberry card stock using my Sizzix 3-D flower die. The leaves are die cut with gold using a die from the Stampin Up Secret Garden framelit dies. I added some gold cording and gold wire twirled into spirals. The sentiment is from the Express Yourself stamp set.

Sweet Sunday......Blowing Kisses

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

As you can see I flipped the sketch again this week.
Not much stamping on my card just for the sentiment. The Pinwheel is made using a die from Lil Inkers. I got this die a couple of years ago and I love it. I had not used it awhile so I thought it was time.

All the DSP on here is from the Fresh Prints pack.

I added a bunch of silver sticky back pearls under the sentiment and at the corners of the white piece and also along the top.

Now let's see what the rest of the girls did with this fun little sketch:

My Primitive Flag Table

Happy Monday Peeps!!

As many of you know that follow my blog, I love Primitive decor and I also love to paint prim crafts.

Last week while I was at work Hubby built this prim table for me, it is made out of old fencing material, it is cedar.
When I got home and he showed it to me I immediately fell in love with it.
It is perfect for the porch or deck. It is 18 inches tall and just the right size for sitting or perfect beside your chair for you drinks or snacks. It would be great for plants too. I would totally use it for a coffee table in my living room if my room wasn't too small for a coffee table.

I knew right away that I wanted to paint the flag on it, I love Americana decor as much as I love Primitive, so it was a perfect match.

I dry brushed the paint on letting the old wood shine through.
I am also selling these so if you live local and would like one shoot me an email and we can make you one.
I have several in the works already with different painted tops.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Sunday.....Happy Easter

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I flipped the sketch.
I wanted to make another Easter card and I decided to use this fun, but retired, single stamp from Stampin Up called "Ears to You".
The DSP on here is from the Stampin Up Watercolor Wonder pack. I let the paper choice dictate my color scheme. The bunnies are stamped using Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Pistachio Pudding inks.
I stamped the image three times and cut out the bunnies and added them to the white panel with some foam tape.

The base of the card is white and then a layer of daffodil delight and then the DSP. The three strips are paper from the same pack and matted with white. I matted the main image piece with Pool Party.
The sentiment is also from a retired set called Everybunny and I stamped with Crisp Cantaloupe ink.

I used a punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack to make my tiny flowers I put three at the top and one at the bottom and added tiny pearls to the centers.
I finished off with pearls in the corners.

I was experimenting a bit with my pics, do you like the BG of these or is it too busy?

Easter Wishes

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made combining the Sketch Challenge and Color Challenge on SplitCoast.

The dessert option on the color challenge was to make an Easter card. I decided to pull out an old but favorite set called "A New Little Someone" and use the bunny for an Easter card.

I stamped the bunny onto some rustic white card stock and colored qith my aqua painter and ink pads. I used Sahara Sand, So Saffron and Baja Breeze all on the main image. The bunny was colored with the Sahara Sand and then I used So Saffron on the bow and pads and inside the ears a bit.
I then used some Baja around the outer edge of the Bunny.

The main image is matted with So Saffron and then the angled piece behind that is Sahara Sand card stock.
The DSP is from the Sweet sorbet pack.
The sentiment comes from the Abundant Hope stamp set.

Sweet Sunday Take Two

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

I have another card I made using the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge.

I used the Stamp Set Serene Silhouettes from Stampin Up.
I decided to go monochromatic with this one.
The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock and then a layer of Very Vanilla.
The DSP on here is from the Comfort Cafe paper pack.

The sentiment is from the Hostess set Express Yourself.
I used the Fancy Fab EF on the strip and added some basic pearls and a vanilla button with a twine bow.

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I started out with a base of PTI white card stock and then a layer of Tangerine Tango. The DSP I used on here is from the Watercolor Wonder paper pack. I then stamped my flower from the Peaceful Petals Stamp set onto some more PTI white card stock and I also stamped two of the leaves from the same set. I colored the flower and leaves using my aqua painter and ink pads. I used Tangerine and Daffodil Delight on the flower and Old Olive on the leaves and stem.

I die cut the image with a circle Nestie and then matted it with die cut Scallop Nestie cut with Tangerine card stock. I then cut the leaves out and added them to the flower. I added a small twine bow on the flower piece too. The sentiment is from the Hostess Set called Express Yourself. I finished with three gold sequins.
